Washingtonian and Belvedere celebrated an evening of cocktail competition with twelve talented mixologists on the rooftop of the Observatory at America's Square.

Washingtonian and Belvedere celebrated summer-inspired sips at Cocktail Classic with a competition between twelve talented mixologists from the DC area using Belvedere Vodka at the Observatory at America’s Square. Guests voted for their favorite Belvedere cocktail–I Dream of Jeanie by Torrence Swain of BOURBON STEAK–while they enjoyed gourmet bites from the Build Your Own Caprese Station and Korean Taco Station courtesy of RSVP Catering. Washingtonian Food Critics were also onsite to present the Critic’s Choice award, received by mixologist Lukas Smith on behalf of Le DeSales. A-List Photo Booths offered GIFs, capturing guests with views of the Capitol at sunset, with entertainment by Mixing Maryland.

Ocean Prime served this pretty “Black Orchid” cocktail to guests, made with Belvedere Wild Berry, St. Germaine Elderflower, white cranberry juice, and lemon simple syrup. 
BOURBON STEAK’s I Dream of Jeanie cocktail, made with Belvedere Vodka, coconut puree, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup, was guests’ favorite of the evening.

Le DeSales served a “Rye on Rye” cocktail consisting of Belvedere Pure Rye, Malted Rye, ginger, tumeric, Oloroso Sherry, and CO2, complete with floating slices of fruit.
